Humanoid Robot Comparison 2026

Humanoid robot comparison: what actually matters

Humanoid robots now span consumer home products, affordable developer platforms and six-figure industrial systems. Price alone is therefore a poor comparison. Start with availability, intended environment, payload, runtime, manipulation hardware and whether the published capability is autonomous, teleoperated or a research demonstration.

Home robots vs research robots vs industrial humanoids

NEO is unusual because it has explicit consumer ownership and subscription pricing. Figure 03 is strongly home-oriented in its demonstrations and product design but is not a normal retail checkout product. Unitree G1 and R1 are much easier to buy as development hardware, but they should not be confused with turnkey household assistants. Apollo, Digit 5 and Atlas are enterprise automation systems whose buying process, support model and integration requirements are fundamentally different.

How to compare autonomy

Do not treat a polished demonstration as proof that every buyer receives the same task autonomously. RobotSelectr separates autonomous claims, teleoperation, developer-programmed capability and manufacturer demonstrations wherever public information allows.

How to compare price

Check what the base price actually includes: dexterous hands, compute modules, batteries, chargers, software access, warranty, shipping, taxes and support can materially change the real acquisition cost. Quote-only enterprise systems should not be assigned speculative retail prices.
