About 1X NEO
1X NEO overview
NEO is 1X’s consumer-focused humanoid for household assistance. Unlike many humanoids that remain enterprise pilots or research platforms, 1X has published direct consumer pricing and a delivery roadmap.
What it is designed to do
1X describes chores including folding laundry, organizing shelves, tidying spaces, opening doors, fetching items and turning off lights. NEO can receive spoken commands and scheduled chore lists. For tasks it does not yet know, owners can schedule a 1X Expert to guide the robot remotely.
Hardware and movement
NEO weighs about 29.9 kg and uses 1X’s tendon-driven actuation under a soft exterior. 1X publishes a 55 lb carrying capacity, 22 dB operating noise and human-level hand dexterity. The platform includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 5G.
AI, autonomy and control
NEO combines 1X AI with a built-in language model, audio intelligence, visual context and memory. Early ownership should not be interpreted as universal autonomous task capability: 1X explicitly includes Expert assistance for unknown chores.
Buying status
1X lists Early Access ownership at US$20,000 and a later US$499/month subscription. Initial consumer deliveries are primarily in the United States during 2026, with other markets planned from 2027.
Who should consider it?
Most relevant to early-adopter home buyers who specifically want a consumer humanoid and understand that skills and autonomy will continue evolving after delivery.
