About Agility Digit 5
Agility Digit 5 overview
Digit 5 is Agility Robotics’ newest industrial humanoid generation, announced in September 2026 after extensive deployment experience with earlier Digit systems.
What it is designed to do
Digit 5 is designed for end-to-end facility workflows including tote/box handling, machine tending and other repetitive material movement. It integrates with warehouse systems such as AMRs, WMS, WES and MES.
Hardware and movement
Pre-production specifications list a 23 kg / 50 lb payload, 2.2 m reach, 129 kg robot weight and 1.81 m height. The new battery system targets 90 minutes of runtime with a nine-minute charge, producing a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio.
AI, autonomy and control
Agility describes a physical-AI stack that can expand autonomous workflows. Swappable grippers allow tooling changes, while human-detection and functional-safety behaviors are being engineered for close-proximity operation.
Buying status
Digit 5 early access is expected in the first half of 2027 with broader availability by the end of 2027. Specifications remain preliminary and subject to change.
Who should consider it?
Large logistics, manufacturing and distribution operators prioritizing uptime, facility integration and repetitive material handling.
