1X NEO vs Figure 03: Home Humanoid Comparison

1X NEO vs Figure 03: compare price, availability, battery life, payload, AI, home features and published specifications for two leading humanoid robots.

1X NEO and Figure 03 are two of the most important humanoid robots aimed at everyday home use. Both are designed around human-shaped mobility, AI-driven interaction and household manipulation, but they differ significantly in availability, hardware and published capabilities. This guide compares the manufacturer-published specifications and explains what they mean for a potential home-robot buyer.

1X NEO: designed specifically around the home

1X describes NEO as a home robot built around its tendon-drive actuation system and a soft, cushioned exterior. The current published specification lists a height of 5 ft 6 in, weight of 66 lb, four-hour runtime, 55 lb carrying capacity and 22 degrees of freedom in each hand. Its body is designed to reduce exposed pinch points and the removable soft suit is machine washable.

NEO also combines visual and audio sensing with 1X’s Redwood AI and a built-in large language model. The aim is not simply voice conversation: the robot is intended to learn and perform chores while moving around a home. See our guides to robot capabilities, robots for cleaning and robots for laundry for the practical features that matter most.

NEO price and availability

1X currently advertises NEO Early Access for $20,000 with priority delivery, and has also announced a $499-per-month subscription option for later delivery. Initial consumer deliveries are focused primarily on the United States, with expansion to additional markets planned afterward. Buyers should verify current delivery dates, territory restrictions and terms directly with 1X before ordering.

Figure 03: Helix-powered general-purpose humanoid

Figure 03 is Figure’s third-generation humanoid. Figure publishes a height of 5 ft 8 in, weight of 61 kg, 20 kg payload, speed of 1.2 m/s and five-hour runtime. The robot was redesigned around Figure’s Helix vision-language-action system, including improved cameras, tactile sensing and palm cameras intended to help with close-range manipulation.

Figure has demonstrated Helix performing increasingly long household workflows, including dishwasher and room-tidying tasks. Figure 03 also supports wireless inductive charging through its feet, allowing the robot to step onto a charging stand rather than requiring a cable to be manually connected.

Figure 03 in the home and workplace

Figure is developing Figure 03 for both domestic and commercial environments. Its home-oriented design uses softer exterior materials and includes improved audio hardware, while the same platform is also being deployed in industrial workflows. That makes Figure 03 relevant to buyers following both home robots and the wider AI robot market.

Which specifications matter for a home robot?

Headline specifications only tell part of the story. A useful home humanoid needs safe movement around people, dependable object manipulation, enough battery life for useful work, simple charging, understandable voice interaction and software capable of adapting to unfamiliar rooms and objects.

Before spending money, use our home robot buying guide, robot budget guide and RobotSelectr selection criteria. Availability is particularly important because a demonstrated prototype, an early-access product and a widely shipping consumer appliance are very different buying propositions.

NEO vs Figure 03: the practical difference

NEO currently has the clearer consumer purchase proposition because 1X publishes Early Access pricing and a subscription plan. Figure 03, meanwhile, publishes detailed technical specifications and demonstrates sophisticated autonomous household manipulation, but Figure does not currently present it as a conventional consumer checkout product with a standard retail price.

RobotSelectr therefore treats price, availability and demonstrated capabilities as separate data points rather than assuming that the robot with the most impressive demonstration is automatically the best choice for every household.

Other humanoid robots worth comparing

The market extends beyond these two models. Unitree’s G1 is a smaller humanoid with a published starting price of $13,500 and roughly two hours of battery life, while Tesla continues to develop Optimus as a general-purpose bipedal humanoid intended for repetitive, unsafe or tedious tasks. Frequently asked questions

Can you buy 1X NEO?

1X currently advertises an Early Access purchase option and a future subscription model. Availability depends on market and delivery timing.

Can you buy Figure 03 for your home?

Figure is explicitly developing Figure 03 for home use, but it does not currently publish a conventional consumer retail price on its product page. Check Figure directly for the latest availability.

Which robot has longer published battery life?

Figure publishes five hours of runtime for Figure 03, while 1X publishes four hours for NEO. Real-world runtime will depend on workload and operating conditions.

Are these robots autonomous?

Both companies are developing AI systems intended to enable increasingly autonomous behavior. However, buyers should distinguish controlled demonstrations and manufacturer claims from proven performance across every household and task.
